The Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) has released the first three episodes of its inaugural interview series of expedition cruise leaders.
ECN chief executive Akvile Marozaite has interviewed a number of industry professionals in the new series, bringing to light exclusive insights from “influential figures” in the sector.
The series is designed for those in the travel trade looking to expand their expedition cruise knowledge, or individuals interested in learning more about the sector.
The first three episodes in the series feature CEO of UnCruise Adventures captain Dan Blanchard, exploring off-the-chart locations; Seabourn’s Robin West, discussing innovative ship designs; and programme director at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Lucy Bruzzone, who speaks about life in the world’s most southerly post office.
Expedition Cruise Network series touches on climate change
“We must all take action now to mitigate and adapt to climate change,” Bruzzone said. “It was a privilege to visit Antarctica and spend such an extended period really getting to experience the place.
“Working in sustainability and talking to the guides who have seen change over the years and experiencing a season of extreme weather myself drove home the importance of taking action now.”
It comes after the ECN launched a dedicated page on its website to give travel trade members “access to a large selection of fantastic travel trade offers”.
