Expedition Cruise Network launches trade discounts scheme

Expedition Cruise Network, Martin Johnson

The Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) has launched a dedicated page on its website to give travel trade members “access to a large selection of fantastic travel trade offers”.

There are savings available of up to 75 per cent off the published rates to a variety of destinations including Antarctica, the Arctic, Galapagos, Madagascar, the Mediterranean, and more.

The page, within the members section of the ECN site, will be regularly updated to provide travel trade partners with an overview of all available trade discounts, the association said.

Agents must be a member of the network to access the page. Travel trade membership is free of charge.

Expedition Cruise Network hails ‘exceptional’ trade rates

ECN chairman Martin Johnson said: “A common challenge faced by our travel trade members who are new to selling expedition cruise is a limited amount of firsthand experience of the product.

“Although a number of our expedition cruise members offer familiarisation trips, these opportunities are infrequent and often come with specific eligibility criteria.

“These exceptional travel trade rates give our travel trade members an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of expedition cruising.”

CEO Akvile Marozaite added: “The sector knows that by helping more travel trade professionals to directly experience expedition cruising, the more confident they will feel in recommending this fantastic way of travelling to their clients.

“So, we are delighted at the ECN to have worked with our expedition cruise members in creating an essential hub for the travel trade to access some truly fantastic discounts of up to 75 per cent.

“We hope it will enable more travel trade members than ever before to experience expedition cruising for themselves.”
