About Malé

The pint-sized capital of the Maldives is a densely crowded and fascinating place, notable mainly for its stark contrast to the laid-back pace of island life found elsewhere. It offers the best chance to see what might be called the ‘real’ Maldives, away from the resort buffet and infinity pool. It may not have a huge number of sights, but Malé offers a chance to get a true feel for the Maldivian way of life.
