The Cruise Stars Awards include categories for Travel Agents and the Cruise Lines/ Brands that serve the Cruise holiday sector. Please find a list of categories below. Click on the category name to find out more information. Entering is quick and easy. Register your details to access the online entry form where you can write your entry and upload any supporting documents before the extended entry deadline date of 22 July 2019. To enter the under 35’s category you need to have entered any of the categories below and tick the box to state that you also want to be entered into the under 35’s category and you are 35 or under on 30th September 2019.

The Overall Cruise Line Star will be selected from the winners of the Cruise Line/Brand categories
Travel Agent Categories

The Overall Travel Agent Star will be selected from the winners of the Travel Agent categories
Regional Sales Star
The Regional Travel Agent Sales Star award consists of nine individual awards, one for each region. Entries for this category will be allocated a region based on the post code supplied.
The regions are:
- London & South East
- South & South West
- Wales
- Northern Ireland
- Scotland
- North West
- North East & Yorkshire
- Midlands
- East of England
Cruise Lines/Brand Criteria
Where possible please support your entry with additional information. This can be uploaded up to a maximum of 5MB. Putting together a Powerpoint presentation is a good way to present additional information to the judges.
Cruise Line Sales Star
This category is open to individuals working in sales roles within cruise lines, cruise brands or their representatives in the UK. Entrants need to demonstrate how they have increased revenue, yields, customer numbers and improved account management and customer relationships.
Cruise Line PR & Marketing Star
This category is open to individuals working within marketing (including digital and social media) and PR teams within cruise lines, cruise brands or their representatives in the UK. Entrants need to demonstrate how they have delivered campaign objectives and how the outcome of their activities has delivered definable benefits to their business.
Cruise Line Management Star
This category is open to individuals who manage teams or departments within cruise lines, cruise brands or their representatives in the UK. Entrants need to demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills, strategic and commercial direction and how they have made an impact within their business.
Cruise line Rising Star of the Year under 35’s
A Rising Star is someone aged 35 or under on 30th September 2019 and making a significant contribution to their organisation. They should display the potential to be one of the leaders of tomorrow or, at least, help to shape the industry in the future.
This is not an enterable category. To be considered for this award, put forward your entry into one of the other categories, include your date of birth and tick the Rising Star Award box.
Travel Agent Criteria

National Travel Agent Sales Star
This category is open to individuals working as travel agents in the UK. Entrants need to demonstrate how they have grown their personal cruise sales, and how they have achieved this from new business generation, outstanding customer service and understanding of cruise products and their customer base.
Regional Travel Agent Sales Star of the Year
This category is open to individuals working as travel agents in the UK. Entrants need to demonstrate how they have grown their personal cruise sales and how they have achieved this from new business generation, outstanding customer service and understanding of cruise products and their customer base.
New to Cruise Champion
This category is open to individuals working within travel agency businesses in the UK. The focus of this category is how to introduce cruise to a new customer market, converting them from land-based holidays and persuading them to book a cruise instead. Entrants need to provide sales figures that demonstrate how they have increased the number of new-to-cruise customers within their business.
Travel Agent Rising Star under 35’s
A Rising Star is someone aged 35 or under on 30th September 2019 and making a significant contribution to their organisation. They should display the potential to be one of the leaders of tomorrow or, at least, help to shape the industry in the future.
