Accommodation

The majority of guest cabins are located on the Select Deck. On this deck are Premium Cabins and Deluxe Cabins, each boasting twin portholes to give a nautical feel. While to the rear of the Panorama Deck are the Royal Suites, each including their own sitting area and stunning picture windows to capture the passing views.

All cabins on Royal Crown feature: ensuite shower room, Molton Brown shower and body products, hair dryer, slippers and bathrobes, spacious built-in wardrobes, safety deposit box, individual thermostat for air conditioning and heating, TV with satellite channels.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites are centrally located on the Panorama Deck, each with a king-size bed comprising two single mattresses in one solid bed frame with two duvets. The beds cannot be split into twin format. The suites also comprise a separate seating area with sofa, easy chairs and dressing table/writing desk.

Royal Suites are 18.2 m² with a separate sitting area with a king-size bed, shower room, picture windows and a daily fresh fruit platter.

Entertainment

The ship’s elegant restaurant is located on the Panorama Deck allowing guests to dine with a view of the passing landscapes. Also on this deck is the comfortable lounge, with plenty of space to relax through the day, or enjoy a glass of Champagne and mingle before dinner as our musician plays the baby grand piano. Guests are welcomed on board at the main reception on this level.

Panoramic Lounge Bar

The Panoramic Lounge, with its comfortable sofas and genial seating areas, is the social hub of the ship. This is where guests can mingle before dinner and listen to some gentle live music. Before moving to the ship’s fine-dining restaurant. As coffee and digestifs are enjoyed, the after-dinner conversation is occasionally complemented by light-hearted entertainment.

The Sun Deck

As the name suggests, the Sun Deck is a place where guests can enjoy the glorious sunshine while cruising along Europe’s waterways.

Open to the fresh air, there is ample seating for relaxing on a sunny day. The Lido Bar serves drinks and refreshments, and on occasion the chef will serve a delicious barbecue or buffet lunch on deck. There’s even a giant chess board and a putting green.

The Sun Deck is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sights on a Royal Crown voyage. A gentle cruise down rivers such as the Rhine or Moselle can be experienced in all their wonder here under the sky. With the Lido Bar nearby to ensure there’s always a glass in your hand, it’s a gloriously elegant way to travel Europe’s waterways. Relax on Royal Crown's Sun Deck in one of the teak steamer chairs for an unparalleled view. With a drink in hand from the Lido Bar, this is the ideal place to enjoy the slow meandering of the rivers as the scenery glides gently by.

Panorama Deck

In addition to the restaurant and lounge, the Panorama Deck also holds the ship’s library, where guests are welcome to relax and peruse a range of informative books. This deck also hosts the reception and concierge service areas, where guests can find further assistance and advice whenever they need it.

The crew on Royal Crown strive to offer the finest luxury river cruises in Europe. Welcoming guests on board and ensuring each one has a special holiday. A Chief Purser from Hebridean Princess accompanies each Royal Crown trip, overseeing everything to ensure the highest levels of service at all times. Nothing is too much trouble and no detail is overlooked.

Here on the Panorama Deck, guests congregate each night for delicious meals and pre-dinner receptions. The ship’s elegant restaurant offers imaginative food with quality ingredients. The lounge at the front of the ship offers also offers a beautiful view of the surroundings and is where guests can meet and mingle, exchanging tales of that day’s adventures.

Dining

Restaurant and Lounge

Buffet breakfasts offer a large selection of continental and cooked items, including eggs of your choice cooked to order in the restaurant. For early risers, tea and coffee are available in the lounge prior to breakfast.

Lunch varies depending on the day’s activities and offers a mix of buffet style and full-service four-course meals.

Evening dinner is a full service, banquet-style five-course meal. On the final Gala Evening, no Hebridean river cruise would be complete without a traditional recital of Robert Burns’ Address to a Haggis! This makes dining on a European river cruise a real Hebridean experience! Seating is with fellow passengers at tables of between six and eight.

Everything on board is hand-picked to ensure freshness, quality and perfection. Food and drink are an important element of any cruise.

All meals and snacks on board and ashore are included, as shown in the itineraries. Selected wines of the day, all other house wines and spirits, beers, soft drinks and tea, coffee and other hot drinks. Champagne and a hand-picked selection of Scottish whiskies are brought in from Hebridean Princess.
