Cruise Trade News editor Gary Peters speaks to Azamara president Carol Cabezas, as part of the CTN Cruise Corner series.
It’s been a busy time for Azamara. First, it was revealed that Royal Caribbean Group had agreed to sell the brand to Sycamore Partners, and that as part of the agreement chief operating officer Carol Cabezas had been appointed president.
Just days later, the line announced a deal to purchase Pacific Princess from Princess Cruises, taking it to four ships in the fleet.
In this interview, Carol discusses the future for the brand, why guests and travel agent partners should not expect any drastic changes under the new ownership, and how Covid-19 vaccines may be implemented in its return-to-service plans.
