Coronavirus: Regent Seven Seas extends reassurance policy

Regent Seven Seas Cruises social media campaign

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has extended its coronavirus Regent reassurance policy until December 2020.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, the parent company of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises has announced today that it will not run any sailings until at least 10 May. The company had originally suspended sailings until 12 April.

In a statement, the cruise line said: “We introduced our Regent Reassurance Policy to give travel partners and their clients greater confidence.”

Guests who have paid in full have the option to cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and will receive a 100 per cent future cruise credit, which can be applied to a new booking within one year of cancellation on any Regent voyage that embarks on or before 31 December 2022.

Regent has now extended the policy for new and existing bookings made through 31 May 2020 for sailings departing through 31 December 2020.

It has also promised to protect travel agent commissions.

“Regent Seven Seas Cruises recognises how diligently Travel Partners have been working during this crisis and how challenging the last two months have been for everyone.

“That is why we are protecting 100 per cent  of Travel Partner commissions on any voyage we voluntarily suspended as well as protecting 100 per cent of their commissions for any cancellations under Regent Reassurance.”

It will also protect commissions on the 100 per cent future cruise credits when agents rebook their clients through the end of 2022. This includes those made for bookings cancelled by the temporary suspension of operations or for those earned under Regent Reassurance.
