Princess Cruises is temporarily changing its cancellation policy for voyages departing up until 31 May 2020 due to the coronavirus.
In a statement, the line said it had done this to assist guests making decisions regarding their cruise holidays during the evolving covid-19 situation.
For cruises departing 3 April or earlier guests can cancel up to 72 hours before sailing and receive a future cruise credit for 100 per cent of cancellation fees.
For cruises between 4 April and 31 May, guests can cancel by 31 March 2020 and receive a future cruise credit for 100 per cent of the cancellation fees.
For cruises departing from 1 June to 30 June, the final payment moves from 90 days prior to sailing to 60 days.
In addition, guests that choose to keep their booking for departures between 9 March and 31 May will receive complimentary on board spending money.
For three- and four-day cruises guests will receive $100 per cabin, while five- and six-day cruises will be gifted $150 and $200 per cabin respectively.

Other cruise lines have also announced that they are easing their cancellation policies in light of coronavirus, including Fred Olsen and Silversea.
Currently, passengers on board Grand Princess have been told not to leave their cabins following the death of a passenger from coronavirus.
It is currently being held off the coast of California with results of 45 tests expected tomorrow.
In a statement, a Princess Cruises spokesperson said: “Princess Cruises can confirm there are 3,533 people currently onboard Grand Princess, including 2,422 guests and 1,111 crew members. In total, they represent 54 nationalities.
“Following guidelines received today from the CDC, all guests have been asked to stay in their staterooms while test results are pending. Guests are receiving meal deliveries in their staterooms by room service, and additional television and movie options have been added to in-room programming.
Earlier in the year Diamond Princess was held off the coast of Japan. Over the two week quarantine over 700 cases were reported with six deaths, including one Briton.
