CLIA UK & Ireland has announced it will host four regional training events for the trade, starting from June.
The one-day sessions, known as ‘Rediscover’ events, will focus on both ocean and river cruise, and will provide insights and learning to support those new to selling cruise, as well as product updates and information to agents who are “looking to refresh their knowledge”, the association said.
CLIA will host the events, with cruise line sponsors also present to provide speed training, answer questions and network.
Sessions will take place on the following dates, with venues to be confirmed:
- Dublin, 15 June
- Newcastle, 16 June
- Norwich, 29 June
- Manchester, 30 June
The events, which are free to attend, are open to all CLIA agent members. More information will be available soon on the official CLIA website.
CLIA UK & Ireland MD Andy Harmer said: “With the domestic cruise season under way, and travel continuing to open up, now is the ideal time for agents to register for a ‘Rediscover’ session.
“They can build on their existing expertise, as well as pick up the latest news and insight from our sponsors, so they are well ahead of the game when it comes to selling cruise.
“All sessions are free-of-charge for CLIA travel agent members and we’re looking forward to further supporting the trade alongside our industry partners.”
CLIA will also host its 2022 conference in May.
The flagship event, in Southampton, will include a trade fair, daily conference sessions and a gala dinner, as well as opportunities to visit ships.
