CLIA launches new river cruise and membership initiatives

CLIA has launched new river cruise and membership initiatives

CLIA has announced the launch of two new initiatives for its travel agent members.

The first is the RiverView programme, which consists of online training, exclusive resources and, at a later date, a schedule of events.

The association has also created a certificate programme, which includes dedicated sections on European and worldwide river cruising.

Agents will be able to access tailored advice and guidance on each river and key destinations. The programme features  approximately five hours of in-depth training.

A monthly river cruise e-newsletter will also be made available, as will additional learning resources such as exclusive river sales guides, via the member area of the CLIA website.

The programme costs £32 + VAT. Additional details are available on the CLIA website.

Also now live is a CLIA EMBARC ID card, which is proof of status as an official travel agent member of CLIA UK & Ireland.

All active members are eligible for the card, which will provide access to discounted rates when registering for CLIA events. More information will be released over the coming weeks.

UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said: “With the cruise industry rapidly gaining momentum, we’re keen to see more resources on offer for our agent members, to help them keep up with interest and demand.

“Our two new initiatives are perfect for travel professionals interested in river cruise or who are eager to showcase their credentials, as well as carry on learning about our ever-evolving industry.”

CLIA also has a series of virtual trade events running over the coming weeks.
