CLIA has a range of events, social media campaigns, exclusive content, promotions and offers in the pipeline to help boost cruise sales throughout September and October.
It has also announced a ‘cruise takeover’ of social media on Friday 24 August, in which the industry is encouraged to post images of cruise holidays across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn using #CruiseTakeover.
Upcoming events include the Great British Beach Clean, luxury and river cruise roadshows in Manchester and Norwich, and the CLIA Luxury Cruise Showcase in Malaga, 15-16 October.

CLIA is also encouraging agents to use #ChooseCruise on social media platforms, and to download its online toolkit. A relevant guide will be released over the coming weeks.
#ChooseCruise, which consists of eight themes, will highlight different onboard experiences, with CLIA focusing on one per week across social, PR and trade channels. These include:
- Relaxation, 3-9 September
- Sport and fitness, 10-16 September
- Learning and enrichment, 17-23 September
- Themed cruises, 24-30 September
- Food and drink, 1-7 October
- Family, 8-14 October
- Spa and wellness, 15-21 October
- Entertainment, 22-28 October
