Atlas Ocean Voyages has appointed Kristian Anderson as its new executive vice president of global sales as it looks to enhance its trade-first strategy to expand in the luxury expedition cruise market
Anderson, who will report to president and CEO James Rodriguez, will take charge of the luxury expedition line’s global sales initiatives, working with Bernard Carter, international sales lead, to continue developing trade relations in the UK.
“It is an exciting time at Atlas Ocean Voyages and our travel agent partners as we continue to raise the bar on the guest experience and elevate our brand, now adding Kristian Anderson to the executive team,” said Rodriguez.
“I, like so many of our industry colleagues, have admired his commitment to agents over the years, and his leadership position in the trade community is a welcome addition to our team of cruise veterans.”
Anderson recently concluded his tenure as senior vice president of global sales at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, where he played a role in launching the brand’s first two ultra-luxury yachts and the growth and development of the global sales structure and distribution.
With a career spanning executive roles at Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Silversea Cruises, and Qatar Airways, Anderson will look to bring his global sales expertise and strategic vision to Atlas Ocean Voyages.
“Under James’s leadership, the team at Atlas Ocean Voyages has built a highly regarded brand that doesn’t rely simply on name recognition but advances with an intentional commitment to deliver elevated, authentic guest experiences and trusted value with their industry partnerships,” said Anderson.
“As a nation of seafarers, the British consumer appetite for unique, immersive, responsible and adventurous luxury is still growing, and we are keen to inspire curiosity with our new brand. We are employing and expanding our trade-first strategy in the luxury expedition cruise sector and are keen that UK agents make the most of the opportunities we have to offer.”
