Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed James Doohan as its new business development executive – north

Doohan joins Ambassador from Althams Travel, where he worked as assistant manager for the last two years. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the travel industry, including working as a travel advisor for TUI retail.

He will report to divisional sales manager Emma Rodgers and will be responsible for fostering existing commercial relationships in his area to maximise sales opportunities. He will also drive day-to-day trading while instigating new agent and trade partnerships.

Ambassador’s deputy head of trade, Karen Cameron, said: “I am delighted to welcome James to the Ambassador family, which will only benefit our trade partners in the North of England as we look to continue providing them with all the support and tools they need.

“The addition of someone of James experience illustrates just how highly we value our agent partners, who can rest assured that Ambassador will be with them every step of the way as we look to continue serving both the business and our partners in the most effective and productive way possible.”

It comes after Ambassador Cruise Line last month bolstered its UK trade team with a raft of new appointments and internal promotions.

The cruise line appointed Laura Yates to the newly-created role of business development manager – homeworkers and new business, while Jade Cheadle was promoted to business development manager – south and Carly Bowkett stepped into the position of interim trade support manager.
