Virgin Voyages rewards agents’ ‘tireless hard work’ with new incentive scheme

Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages has unveiled a new trade incentive programme which rewards agents with cash pay outs for booking a cruise with the line

First Mate Loot, created in association with My Booking Rewards (MBR), launched on Friday (12 April) and allows agents to create an account and log booking details for Virgin Voyages to verify and pay out the earnings.

SJ Walker, director of sales UK at Virgin Voyages, said: “It’s not lost on us that the reason our sailors (passengers) are able to kick back and enjoy a relaxing holiday at sea is because of the tireless hard work our dedicated First Mates (agents) have put in to get them there.

“That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the First Mate Loot initiative and offer cash pay-outs to first mates who’ve successfully booked sailors on our luxurious lady ships.”

From now until 30 May, agents will receive £30 for Mediterranean or Northern Europe voyages departing on select 2024 and 2025 sailings. All other voyages will receive £10 per booking.

Virgin Voyages to continue offering new trade incentives

“This is our little added bonus way of thanking agents for booking top-notch sailors on our worldwide itineraries,” Walker added. “We want to continue offering epic experiential incentives and we believe First Mate Loot is a perfect way to say thank you.”

Darren Pearson, founder and CEO of My Booking Rewards, added: “We are delighted to bolster our cruise line offering for our agent members with this Virgin Voyages partnership.”

Earlier this year, Virgin Voyages cancelled its 2024/25 voyage season plans for Resilient Lady, impacting the vessel’s second season in Australian waters due to the ongoing conflict in the Red Sea.
