Seabourn to launch private jet service for guests

Seabourn has announced the launch of a new private chartered jet service to transport guests to and from ports of call and for mid-voyage overland flights.

Bookings for Seabourn Private Air open on 15 August 2019. According to the luxury cruise line the service will utilise a global network of operators and accommodate groups of any size upon request, with available aircraft including light charter jets, mid-size jets and heavy private jets. Fares, which are separate from the cruise price, will vary by itinerary and aircraft.

Seabourn senior vice president of global marketing and sales, Chris Austin said: “Time is an incredible luxury and as an ultra-luxury travel operator for three decades, we are always seeking new ways to enhance our guest experience. Seabourn Private Air will provide a world of comforts and conveniences for Seabourn guests to or from their cruise of a lifetime.”

Features of the service include access to thousands of airports; WiFI connectivity; a private valet luggage service; food and drink on every flight; amenities by Seabourn’s fragrance partner, Molton Brown; complimentary transfers to and from the nearest airport and port; and next port protection up to 1,000 miles from the original destination.

Seabourn is currently preparing for the launch of its first purpose-built expedition ship, Seabourn Venture, which is scheduled to join the fleet in June 2021. It will be joined by a sister ship in May 2022. Both will feature custom-made submarines for guests to explore sunken wrecks, reefs and view marine wildlife.
