Riviera Travel has unveiled its 2028 European river cruise programme with a new collection of experiences exclusive to the line
The collection, called "The Riviera Moment" will be rolled out as part of a three-year plan, and will feature on a quarter of the line's 2028 European departures across four core itineraries.
Examples include watching a private musical performance in a Basilica in German wine estate Kloster Eberbach; hosted tastings of selected Rhone wines in Villa Caroube in France; and a private drinks reception in the Octagon Hall of House of Strauss in Vienna.
To enhance the offer, Riviera is offering a limited-time free deck upgrade on all 2028 European river cruise departures booked before 9 October.
Vicky Billing, director of trade, partnerships and loyalty UK and Ireland, said: "River cruising remains one of Riviera Travel's core strengths and the launch of our 2028 programme gives agents fresh opportunities to inspire customers earlier and with more confidence.
"The Riviera Moment has been created to add a new layer of distinction to selected departures, combining extraordinary places, money can't buy hosted experiences and a true taste of the destination.
"For agents, it creates a clear, experience-led talking point that helps differentiate Riviera's river cruise product in a competitive market, while our early booking offer gives customers another strong reason to secure their preferred 2028 sailing."
Katherine Greaves, head of product cruises, said: "Guests are increasingly looking for experiences that help them connect more deeply with the destinations they visit.
"While iconic landmarks remain important, we're seeing growing demand for experiences that offer something more personal, exclusive and memorable.
"The Riviera Moment was created in response to that demand. These experiences give our guests access to places, performances and cultural encounters that would be difficult to arrange independently, creating moments that become genuine highlights of a holiday."
