Overnight stays in port are all the fashion now, although there’s some debate about how much use these actually are in a destination like the Caribbean. Celebrity Cruises has, however, picked ports that have some nightlife and equally, are not intimidating to guests on overnight stays for its 2016/17 programme, when it will have seven ships in the region. New overnights stays have been introduced in Bridgetown, Barbados; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Netherlands Antilles; and a new Mardi Gras cruise on Celebrity Equinox which will spend two nights in New Orleans for the renowned festivities.
