Virgin Voyages has announced plans to introduce a new Annual Pass booking option, where customers can hop onto any ship, anytime, from anywhere, for an entire calendar year
The pass is priced at £94,689.12 – excluding taxes and fees – and is available on a first-come, first-served basis until 31 March 2025.
Agents who sell an Annual Pass, which will also become the first cruise product purchasable by cryptocurrency Bitcoin, will earn a commission of £7,890.76.
Holders can select a start date of 1 January, 1 February, 1 March or 1 April and the pass will be valid for one year from the start date. Guests must book between 3 December 2024 and 31 March 2025.
Richard Branson, Virgin Group founder, said: “I’ve always been a big believer in the power of travel and adventure to spark creativity and bring clarity. What started as a sought after ‘work from sea’ concept with our Season Pass has evolved into something even more special.
“Now, sailors [guests] can jump aboard any of our ships, across an endless variety of exciting destinations for an entire year. We’re offering unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been done in cruising before.”
The pass includes a Sea Terrace cabin as well as onboard perks like priority boarding, complimentary laundry services, dedicated concierge support, unlimited premium wifi, a $100 Bar Tab credit per voyage, and access to exclusive events and experiences.
Holders can also add a plus one to their cabin, with the ability to travel with different companions throughout the year.
The announcement comes after SJ Walker, sales director UK for Virgin Voyages, joined Cruise Corner to discuss the line’s Best-Value-for-Money Award win at the 2024 Wave Awards and how agents can benefit from the company’s “most immersive season yet” in 2025.
