The Scenic Group has announced plans to expand its sales and partnership team with three new roles
The company, which includes Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises, is currently recruiting for a new sales manager, key account manager and senior charter operations executive to drive sales growth and support product development.
The recruitment drive comes as part of a a series of investments across its trade programme to support agent partners ahead of peaks including a new partnership with the training scheme OTT.
Under the OTT partnership, agents will have access to a series of training modules and the opportunity to learn more about the Scenic Group brands, their fleets of luxury yachts, onboard facilities, itineraries, land tours and excursions as well as new tours and itineraries for the 2025/2026 season.
The course is now live and there are five training modules available for agents to access: Truly All-Inclusive Scenic River Cruises; Award-Winning Emerald Cruises River Cruises; Emerald Cruises Luxury Yacht Cruises; Scenic Eclipse, The World’s First Discovery Yachts; and Scenic Eclipse Expedition Voyage.
The first 50 agents to complete a training module and pass the quiz will receive a Scenic or Emerald Cruises branded backpack. To redeem, agents need to email [email protected] with proof of completion.
Nick Hughes, director of sales, partnerships and strategic growth, said: “Ahead of peaks and the critical wave period, we want to ensure our agent partners are prepared to support what we all expect to be a very busy sales period.
“The investment in both training and growth of our team follows a series of successful incentives and award wins that, combined with, our ongoing mainstream TV placements – including Emerald Azzurra starring in Judi Love’s Culinary Cruise on ITV and Scenic Eclipse starring in Cruising with Susan Calman on Channel 5 – give trade partners confidence, knowledge and expertise to capitalise on our award-winning brands and the high-level service & experience we deliver for their clients.”
Scenic Group sees strong growth in trade group bookings
On Thursday (24 October), Scenic Group revealed its group bookings from the trade have increased by 85 per cent between January and July in 2024 compared to the same period last year.
Hughes said it was “encouraging” to see the marked increase in group bookings and growth in the popularity of sailings for larger parties.
“Many of the group bookings we have hosted over the past year are often for big milestone celebrations – anniversaries, birthdays, toasting the start of retirement, for example.”
