Cressida Sergeant has been named as the new CEO for global technology company Traveltek, effective from 1 October 2026
Formerly chief commercial officer for the firm, Sergeant will succeed Mal Barritt who is set to step down in November after more than seven years leading the business.
Sergeant herself has worked at Traveltek for eight years, in which time she helped transform the commercial model and drove global growth, particularly in North America, where – according to the company – the opportunity for cruise technology remains significant.
Sergeant said: "I am incredibly proud to take on the role of CEO and to lead Traveltek into its next chapter. I've really enjoyed working alongside Mal for the last seven years, and I'm incredibly proud of what this team has achieved.
"My priority for the next chapter is to drive customer efficiency, by deepening connectivity for our customers and supplier partnerships. There is a significant opportunity for our customers through the greater benefits that come from being part of the Juniper Group ecosystem.
“Technology needs to provide more education and transparency to the travel industry, and I know our team and our customers have a fantastic future ahead."
Traveltek acquired Juniper Travel Group in October 2024 while under Baritt’s leadership.
He added: "After more than seven years, I feel the time is right for me to take on a new challenge. Traveltek has been a huge part of my life, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together as a team. We have navigated some very difficult times, built a great business and created a fantastic group of people.
"I am genuinely sad to leave, but I do so with enormous pride in what we have accomplished and complete confidence in Traveltek's future. Most importantly, I am delighted to be handing the business to Cress."
Mal will remain in an advisory capacity until the end of November 2026 to support a smooth transition.
