Ethos Farm is known for training across the airline and duty-free industry, and has recently branched out into cruise.

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with CTN for its Best Companies Scheme as this is a subject matter that is truly the ‘ethos’ of Ethos Farm,” comments founder and CEO of Ethos Farm Sally Alington. “The link between outstanding employee experiences and world-class customer experiences can not be underestimated – the former drives the latter. That is why this new recognition programme is so important.”

She continues: “As the cruise industry continues to boom and the next generation of employees and customers start to come on board, companies need to put their workforce at the heart of what they do. We are very much looking forward to seeing which organisations are leading the way in this dynamic and growing sector.”

CTN editor Colette Doyle says: “The partnership with Ethos Farm is a great move, as this is a company that truly understands the needs of staff in the hospitality industry and gets to the heart of the kind of training that would benefit them the most.”

She adds: “The company’s reputation in the field is second to none and its involvement with the project helps to elevate its profile to the next level.”

CTN has partnered with US-based employee engagement survey specialist Best Companies Group to discover the best companies to work for in the cruise industry – both cruise lines and the travel agencies selling cruise. The Best Companies Group has worked with many industries in the past, from automotive companies to accountancy firms, but this is the first time it has worked in the cruise sector.

Registrations are welcome from travel agencies selling cruise, cruise line operators and suppliers to the industry. The deadline is not until 27 September 2019, so there is plenty of time to register for the survey. A total of 25 per cent of the evaluation is based upon the benefits companies offer and the great things they are doing for their staff. The remainder comes from an anonymous employee engagement survey.

The benefits of entering include improved organisational pride and morale, as well as a boost to marketing and PR efforts, through exposure in a respected, employee-led evaluation.
