Terms & Conditions

1. To enter, you must be: (a) a resident of the United Kingdom, (b) a current employee of a recognised travel agent and (c) 21 years old or over.   
2. Cruise Trade News reserves the right to request proof of eligibility, including employment status and select a new prize recipient if the winner does not meet the criteria in condition.  
3. You will be asked to provide proof of trade address and reply via your business email before prizes are issued.  
4. Following the request for proof of trade, a reply is required within 24 hours. After this time the prize is reallocated, and a new winner is randomly generated.  
5. No purchase necessary  
6. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash  
7. Entrants are only allowed one entry  
8. Offers are not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of Cruise Trade News, Trafalgar or its subsidiary companies  
9. By accepting our terms and conditions, you agree to receive email marketing and postal marketing communications from Cruise Trade News and Trafalgar.  
10. Any personal information that you provide to Cruise Trade News, Trafalgar and its subsidiary companies will be treated in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without your consent. Data will be used for the purposes of administering this competition and contacting winners.  
11. Cruise Trade News and Trafalgar reserve the right to substitute an alternative prize of a similar value due to any unforeseen circumstances.

14. Cruise Trade News reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Cruise Trade News may also create rules which will apply to a specific offer only. If we do this we will publish the amended offer rules and/or specific offer rules on the relevant offer page.  
15. Entrants must be 21 or over. The winner will receive a message confirming their prize. They will also be contacted directly by phone and/or email. Trafalgar's decision on the prize winner and prize will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Trafalgar will treat entrants’ information as private and keep it secure but reserves the right to use the winner’s name, hometown, agency name, photography and comments in future publicity or promotional material.  

16. Grand Prize Terms & Conditions. The Grand Prize is a Best of the Danube Trafalgar River Cruise for two people, travelling in 2027.

    The prize includes:

    The standard Best of the Danube trip and inclusions as detailed in the applicable Trafalgar brochure.

    Accommodation for two people sharing a Classic Stateroom, the lead-in room category. The winner may choose to upgrade their stateroom at their own cost, subject to availability.

    Port charges associated with the cruise.

    Return economy-class flights for two people from a major UK airport. The departure airport, airline and flight arrangements will be determined at the time of booking and are subject to availability.

    Flights include one standard piece of hold luggage per person, subject to the baggage allowance and conditions of the airline carrier confirmed at the time of booking.

    The prize must be booked and redeemed by 31 December 2026, with travel taking place during 2027.

    To be eligible to claim the prize, the winner must be employed by a UK-registered travel company at the time the prize is awarded and redeemed and must not be subject to any ongoing disciplinary, employment or formal conduct proceedings or hearings with their employer at that time. Trafalgar reserves the right to request reasonable confirmation of eligibility before the prize is awarded.

    All travel arrangements, including cruise departure dates, staterooms and flights, are subject to availability at the time of booking. Blackout dates and other travel restrictions may apply.

    The prize does not include travel insurance or any applicable flight supplements. Any additional costs, upgrades or arrangements not expressly stated as included in the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

    The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash alternative. No cash or credit will be provided for any unused element of the prize.

    The winner and their guest are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, travel insurance and any other documentation required for travel.

    Trafalgar reserves the right to substitute elements of the prize with an alternative of equivalent value where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
