Carnival announces return of Fun Ambassadors programme
Carnival Cruise Line has launched its Fun Ambassadors programme for 2024, which will see the line collaborate with a new batch of travel agents as it seeks to better work with trade
A total of 11 travel agents, each hand-picked for their knowledge of the cruise industry, will provide with advice, ideas and feedback throughout the year on how the line can collaborate with its trade partners, with ‘ambassadors’ attending quarterly meetings with Carnival executives.
In return, agents will have priority access to Carnival events and receive 10 Loyalty Rocks points for every booking they make over the course of 2024, which can be used on the line’s agent rewards platform, loyaltyrocksclub.com.
They will be also hosted at the 2024 CLIA Conference in Southampton in May, with travel, accommodation, dinner and drinks included.
Programme intended to “ignite a spark of excitement among agents”
Iain Baillie, vice-president international sales at Carnival, said: “Our Fun Ambassador programme is not just about promoting Carnival – it’s about igniting a spark of excitement within our team of agents.
“Our ambassadors will be the driving force behind our continued success. They will share their insights and immerse themselves in the Carnival experience, ensuring our customers receive the best recommendations based on their first-hand know-how. This year is all about choosing fun, learning and growing together.”
Fiona Harper, a cruise consultant at Cruise.co.uk and one of the Fun Ambassadors, added: “I am looking forward to promoting Carnival to my colleagues and learning more about the line’s fleet and unique selling points. I will compose a monthly post about the Fun Ambassador role and include any promotions that may help the team to promote and sell Carnival.”
Earlier this month, Carnival Cruise Line partnered with USAirtours in a bid to enhance its trade-only booking office, with the agreement giving agents access to a wider array of package options.
