Royal Caribbean goes platinum for Club Royal’s 2nd birthday

Club Royal

Royal Caribbean has announced that it is celebrating the second birthday of its Club Royal agency loyalty programme by implementing changes to the membership criteria to deliver more rewards for its agent partners.

It has also introduced a number of other member incentives and rewards, including a new exclusive booking service in partnership with Travel Industry Services, is launching a new member competition, Ride the Wave to Hong Kong, offering agents the chance to win a trip-of-a-lifetime.

Platinum Club Royal membership

Previously a two-tiered membership scheme, a Platinum level has now been introduced to its programme. Designed to better incentivise its highest achieving agents, this new level will be instantly applicable for anyone who has successfully registered 200+ bookings through their Club Royal account between 24th September 2015 through to 23rd September 2016.

Platinum members can enjoy new benefits alongside refreshed incentives for Gold and Blue members:

Added to which, following feedback, all Club Royal members will be given more control of their membership. They will be able to see on their personal dashboard how close they are to being promoted and what steps they need to take to reach their next target.

The new tier allocations will come into effect this week based on bookings made between 24th September 2015 and 23rd September 2016. Once members are all allocated, the number of bookings will then be reset back to zero with members having a year to hit retention, or hopefully promotion, levels. In the event of targets being met within the year, members will be promoted immediately and this will become their new tier allocation date (+ one year).

‘Ride the Wave to Hong Kong’ competition

To celebrate the second birthday, Club Royal will soon be revealing details of its latest competition – Ride the Wave to Hong Kong. Over 10,000 Club Royal members will have the opportunity to participate for the chance to win one of 15 spaces on a five-day all-expenses-paid trip to Hong Kong. Further details of how to participate will be announced later this year.

Travel Industry Services (TIS) partnership

Ben Bouldin, Sales Director for UK&I, Royal Caribbean said, “To celebrate the second birthday of Club Royal we wanted to do even more to recognise the ongoing support of our agency partners. By introducing a Platinum level into the mix, increasing earning opportunities across the board and making it easier to track status levels, we’re giving our agents more reason to sell Royal Caribbean holidays as they reap the rewards.

We truly value the support of our agency partners and are committed to not only providing them with an extraordinary loyalty programme, but also to finding new ways to engage with them in new and exciting ways. We look forward to welcoming agents on our upcoming Ride the Wave to Hong Kong trip, which promises to be our biggest and best Club Royal trip yet. We’re also sure that our exclusive TIS booking service will prove to be extremely beneficial and will make booking with Royal Caribbean an even easier experience, allowing agents to have an incredible holiday experience with us as well as the opportunity to get to know our brand even better.”
