CLIA Conference becomes fastest-selling to date

Cruise Line International Association

The 11th annual CLIA Cruise Conference has sold over 80% of the travel agent places since they were released on September 29 this year.

The event, which will host up to 700 people will be held in Southampton from May 24 – May 26, 2017.

The conference will feature conference sessions, ship visits, a trade fair and two evening events.

Andy Harmer, CLIA Director has said: “We are delighted to have seen so much demand for tickets so early on.  It is our 11th year of doing the event so people now know to put it in their calendar. Last year it sold out in a couple of months.

“The conference brings together the whole cruise community. This is why it has grown so much as it shows how everyone – travel agents, cruise lines and industry partners – come together as an industry to support cruise and get people to choose it as their favoured holiday.”

The conference will open with an opening ceremony upon the newly remastered Queen Mary 2 on the May 24, and include another cruise visit for the closing ceremony on board the Navigator of the Seas from Royal Caribbean. The theme for the 2017 Conference is ‘Together’.

The ‘Early Bird Rate’ for tickets ends on November 11 with tickets available via cruiseexperts.org.
